Dr Nurdan Kalkan is an active committee member of WIT. On leaving Teachers Training College in 1994, she went on to study Medicine at the Dokuz Eylsl University, until 2000 when she transferred to Aydin Adnen Menderes University where she trained as a specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaeocology. After completing her studies she joined the private Hospital in Kusadasi untill 2006 when she continued her career at the Didim Devlet Hospital in conjuntion with her own private offices on Ataturk Bulvari. She also is bilingual and speaks fluent English
