I came to Turkey looking for a whitewashed villa by the sea and actually found one! Moved to Turkey July 2005. I have one son Jordan who is 20 years old gorgeous, hyperactive and now happily living back in the UK .
Now happily married with a Turkish husband called Murat and between us we run our own business. He comes complete with a large family who I love dearly. I am a Columnist for the Voices Newspaper here in Didim and I've also written a book entitled 'Whos Journey' which tells the tale of the transition from 'Brit abroad' to 'Muslim on the Sidelines' and I am currently in talks with a Publishing Agent.
I have had some 'lady' medical problems since moving here and this gave me the idea for WIT which has grown due to the fabulous support of the committe members.
